What is a Care Fair?

The Care Fairs at Fairhill are opportunities to find information about being a caregiver.

Next Care Fair is THURSDAY MAY 6th 2010 from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

• Matter of Balance coaches on hand to teach you or your loved one to overcome a fear of falling and find exercises to improve physical control and self-confidence.

• Local organizations and businesses providing and demonstrating resources, products and information to make your caregiving experience successful.

Whether you’re just starting as a caregiver or have been providing care
for years, we can help you with support and education. Admittance to Care Fairs are free. You will find:

• Workshops on stages of caregiving, presented by experts
  from Fairhill and community partners

• Over 30 exhibitor tables providing education, information,
  resources and giveaways

• Lunch! Free for pre-registered caregivers, $4 for others

Here’s what you’ll learn:

• How to find agencies that can help now and in the future

• How to access support services

• What it means to be a caregiver

• How caregiver roles impact you and your family

• How to care for yourself as well as your loved ones

• You are not alone
