Assistive Technology
Every day new products and home enhancements come on the market that can make life easier for older adults and people with disabilities to stay independent and safe in their homes.
At Fairhill, one of the buildings on Campus has been renovated to serve as the home for the School for Caregivers and a model home of Assistive Technology. From the ramp at the door to the in-home elevator and elevated dishwasher, products are being used and demonstrated for caregivers every day.
You are welcome to schedule a tour and see for yourself how items some assistive technology items can be used. We understand that many items are not inexpensive and you/your family might wish to try them out before you make a purchase.
There are also many inexpensive fixes and upgrades you may not have considered. See these on display as well.
For a tour and hands-on demonstration of the Assistive Technology products at Fairhill, or for information on the School for Caregivers, call (216) 421-1350 extension 113.
