School for CaregiversSchool for Caregivers

You are not alone. In the US today, one in four people provide care and support for another adult (spouse, adult child, relative, friend) who is frail, chronically ill, or has a disability.

Preparing to give care to a parent, spouse, relative of friend? Attend a Care Fair – resources from over 30 organizations, workshops, speakers and entertainment – all in one afternoon. Or come to monthly Breakfast Clubs – information and breakfast in one morning.

Already a caregiver - but overwhelmed and unprepared? Four-week For the Caregiver in You is full of ways to manage stress, talk to doctors, figure out legal issues and more. Concerned about falls or managing the chronic illness of your loved one? Attend A Matter of Balance or Chronic Disease Self-Management classes.

Want to update a home to suit the needs of an older person? Schedule an Assistive Technology tour to check out options.

Connect today to a social worker or other caregivers for questions and ongoing support. Review the 2010 Caregiver Resources Guide for classes, support groups, demonstrations and counseling options available at Fairhill.

To register for classes, workshops, tours, support sessions or individual counseling, call (216) 421-1350, extension 113.
