Teen Leadership and
Entrepreneurship
Teen Leaders are always busy – approximately 18 teenagers being raised by their grandparents are part of intergenerational programs at Fairhill. Teens learn from older paid and unpaid staff and from each other. Focus is on effective way to communicate, build teams and resolve conflicts.
Teen Leadership Spring Camp 2010 is scheduled for April 7 and 24; May 1, 8 and 22*. There is no charge for these camps. Lunch and bus passes are provided. Call (216) 421-1350 extension 113 today for registration information.
Projects vary. Teen leaders serve as camp counselors at the Kin Kids Summer Camp (* teen must attend at least 3 of the 5 Spring Camp days listed above to be eligible for a summer camp counselor position), visit area colleges, and show 'what they got' in many artistic endeavors! Click below and pay a virtual visit to some past teen programs.
Check out the video below - in 2008 teens described their life-changing experiences as summer camp counselors for the camera.
On September 13, 2008, Kinship Teens partnered with Verleeza Dance – a modern dance company in Shaker Heights – for a performance at Tower City.
