Fairhill delivers gap-filling, needed successful aging programs in a connected, distinctive, one-of-a-kind community.

  1. Senior Guest House at Fairhill annually provides 30 to 50 displaced seniors (60 +) with a temporary home for up to 90 days (average stay 68 days) and relocation, health promotion and life skills assistance.

  2. Kinship Care programs provide older adult caregivers raising young children (approximately 140 families or 480 individuals) with education, peer support, access to camps / leadership training for teens and business/advocacy skills. A Campaign for Kinship Village is in process – 29 residences for kinship families, older adult volunteers and campus employees.

  3. School for Caregivers provides education, training, peer support and information to improve lives of adult caregivers and loved ones. Over 400 caregivers participate in School for Caregiver classes, workshops, fairs and/or support groups annually. Caregivers also experiment with Assistive Technology – technology that supports successful aging in homes.

  4. Lifelong Learning programs like the Fairhill Brunch Club, A Matter of Balance, and Chronic Disease Self-Management help people consider and carry out next steps for successful aging. Hundreds of young and old members of our community participate in a variety of intergenerational and peer learning programs, many led by older adult volunteers.

  5. The Computer Learning Center (CLC) offers interactive, non-competitive, hands-on experiences in information technology for people 40 and Better. In 2007, more than 400 people learned about mouse use, word processing, accessing the Internet, website design, and digital photography. Peer instructors, coaches and administrators (more than 50 unpaid staff members) lead and support the classes.

  6. Access Your Benefits: Many older adults in our community struggle to pay for medications, utilities, health care, food and other vital services. If you are 55 or older (18 or older with disabilities), with limited income please call 211 (or Fairhill Partners at 216.421.1350) and tell them you want to take the Benefits Eligibility Survey. A trained Benefits Ambassador will gladly assist you to take this easy survey. You may be eligible for one or more of over 1,300 Federal, State, and Local Public Benefits programs. Access Your Benefits is a fast, free and private way to find out how you can save money!

If you are interested in volunteering on the Access Your Benefits Team, contact Greater Cleveland Volunteers at 216.391.9500 or Fairhill directly at 216.421.1350, ext. 182.

Fairhill Partners also leases office, clinical and activity space to 29 campus organizations most of which have missions and objectives that complement successful aging. You can learn more about campus lease and event space opportunities at Fairhill Partners Leasing.
